These Terms of Service govern your use of DodoStay, a direct-rental platform connecting property owners with renters. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DodoStay you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and understood these terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using the platform on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
2. Description of Service
DodoStay provides an online marketplace that enables property owners ("Owners") to list accommodation and renters ("Renters") to discover and book those properties directly. DodoStay is not a party to any rental agreement between Owners and Renters, and collects no commission on bookings.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You may not share your account or use another person's account without permission. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Owner Responsibilities
Owners must ensure that all property listings are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with local laws and regulations. Owners are solely responsible for the accuracy of availability calendars, pricing, and house rules. Owners must hold any required licences or permits to rent their property.
5. Renter Responsibilities
Renters must provide accurate booking information and communicate honestly with Owners. Renters agree to comply with all house rules communicated by the Owner. Any damage caused during a stay is the Renter's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use DodoStay to: post false, misleading, or fraudulent content; harass, threaten, or abuse other users; attempt to circumvent our systems or extract data in bulk; engage in illegal activity of any kind; or collect personal data about other users without their consent.
7. Payments
DodoStay does not process payments between Renters and Owners. All financial transactions are arranged directly between the parties. DodoStay is not responsible for any payment disputes, fraud, or financial losses arising from direct transactions.
8. Reviews
Reviews must be honest, first-hand accounts of genuine stays. You may not post fake, incentivised, or defamatory reviews. DodoStay reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines or our community standards.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on DodoStay — including the platform design, logos, and editorial content — is the property of DodoStay or its licensors. Content you upload (photos, descriptions) remains yours; by uploading it you grant DodoStay a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
DodoStay is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, DodoStay disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any rental arrangement facilitated through it.
11. Modifications
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-platform notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which DodoStay operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
